My client is an established provider of engineering services to the rail industry. Due to continued expansion, they have openings for 3 x Mechanical Fitters to join their team at their site in Doncaster. The successful Mechanical Fitters will work as part of a team and will carry out skilled heavy fitting and overhaul work within a production environment ensuring targets and deadlines are met.

Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained in a mechanical discipline at minimum of level 2. 
    Experience within a heavy mechanical engineering role.
  • Physically fit for manual handling and manoeuvring purposes.
  • Willingness to work as a team and learn and develop in all aspects
  • Excellent teamwork ethic.

Mechanical Fitter Benefits:

  • Salary starts at £32,000 and after completion of 12-week training rises to £36,000.
  • Monday to Friday 37.5 hours – early and late shift 6am – 2.15pm and 2.15pm – 10pm with an early finish on a Friday.
