About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicatedPaint Sprayer / Sprayshop Operativeto join our clients skilled sprayshop team. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients sprayshop while maintaining the highest standards of quality, health, and safety. You will collaborate with other departments to improve workflows, optimise output, and uphold operational excellence.
This role would suit individuals with previous experience in timber production, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Workflow:
- Follow production schedules to meet deadlines and optimise throughput.
- Plan and organise sprayshop workloads in advance, ensuring efficient operations.
- Quality Control:
- Maintain the highest quality standards, rejecting substandard products when necessary.
- Take corrective/preventive action in collaboration with other departments to reduce downtime and waste.
- Maintenance and Safety:
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment, keeping tools clean and in safe working condition.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety practices.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage spray shop and paint stores in line with permits and regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, prioritise older stock, and properly dispose of expired items.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with sprayshop supervisors and report any issues or inefficiencies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the sprayshop and broader company operations.
- General Duties:
- Assist in other reasonable tasks as required to support the company's business objectives.
What Were Looking For:
- Previous experience in a sprayshop environment (timber production experience preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow production schedules and prioritise workloads.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role, with training provided as necessary.
