Town Planner

Sheffield - remote / hybrid working

Are you a talented and driven Town Planner looking to make a real impact? Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a UK leading consultancy in expanding its team with the addition of an experienced Town Planner!

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects that shape the future of communities. From large-scale developments to regeneration projects, you'll be involved in every step of the planning process, ensuring sustainability and community needs are at the heart of each plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on planning policy and strategy.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals.
  • Conducting site assessments and research.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, local authorities, and communities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of planning documents and reports.

About You:

  • A degree in Town Planning or related field (RTPI membership preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the planning system and local government processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in a planning role, ideally private sector but public backgrounds welcome to apply!
