Job title: Legal Secretary - Personal InjuryLocation: DoncasterSalary: £23,000 - £25,000This role is integral to our Claimant Serious Injury and Complex Claims teams and provides a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team with excellent career development prospects. The teams handle a diverse portfolio of high-end Fast Track, Intermediate Track, and Multi Track cases. You will play a key part in supporting fee earners in managing serious injury and complex personal injury matters, ensuring clients are kept informed, and contributing to the overall success of the team.Key Responsibilities:Assist fee earners with their caseload, predominantly focusing on RTA personal injury cases. Take instruction on a case from a fee earner and proceed with tasks as directed. Effectively manage client relationships, keeping them updated and informed as needed. Draft legal documents, including Claim Forms, Particulars of Claim, Witness Statements, Disclosure Lists, etc. Request, collate, and review various records and documents in relation to cases. Source medical experts and coordinate medical appointments as necessary. Follow up with various parties, ensuring the timely receipt of requested information. Assist with obtaining and reviewing documents as needed for case progression. Support the team with liability enquiries and investigations. Take on new claims and assist in initial case assessments. Conduct legal research to support fee earners and case progression.Skills & Competencies:Strong telephone communication skills with the ability to speak confidently with clients and other parties. Excellent teamwork skills, able to work collaboratively within the team. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage a busy workload. Strong self-management skills and the ability to work independently when required. Excellent written communication skills, with attention to detail in drafting legal documents. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Motivated and proactive with a desire to develop within the role. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).Qualifications:Previous experience in a legal or claims-related role would be advantageous but not essential.
