This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our valued client based in Doncaster.PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:To assist in the running of the Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence department by carrying out essential administrative duties, including but not limited to taking instructions, filing paperwork, producing legal documents and drafting correspondence.DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:Provision of secretarial and administrative support to the Litigation teamDealing mainly with litigation client cases from start to finishAudio and copy typing of correspondence and legal documentsLiaising with existing and potential clients, and third parties via email, telephone and face to facePreparing a wide range of legal documentation and general correspondenceManaging busy diary schedules, arranging meetings and preparing required paperworkCompleting research for the legal team and preparing detailed reportsFielding incoming telephone calls and dealing with general enquiriesDealing with office paymentsDealing with incoming correspondenceUse of a legal case management system (Proclaim)SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSProficiency in word processing software including MS Office and ProclaimExperience of MOJ PortalsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work with a team of Lawyers and others in the organisationThe ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesAttention to detailA professional and courteous mannerAbility to type quickly and accuratelyPreparing court statements and formsDictating Lawyers' audio files and written notesManaging records, projects and calendars to make sure everything functions smoothlyTranscribing and proofreading legal documentsIndexing and updating pleadings and discovery bindersCollecting and delivering documentsManaging diaries and making travel arrangements for one or more LawyersSupporting legal research and communicating with vendors, experts, Lawyers, opposing counsel and other staffFamiliarity with legal terminology and documentationTHE CONSULTANCY:Edwards & Pearce acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
