Skills for Life Tutor

Location: Doncaster

Hours: 30 hours per week

The College seeks to employ a Skills for Life Tutor to join its enthusiastic, vibrant, and hardworking team. As one of only two specialist horse racing colleges in the UK, this third sector provider delivers training for people in both racing and other equine industries.

The Role

Tutors are responsible for preparing and delivering high quality English and Maths lessons, keeping records updated and providing prompt feedback on learner progress. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Initial teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DTTLS or Level 5 DET.
  • A minimum of A-Level English (or equivalent), GCSE Maths (or equivalent) is also a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience of teaching Functional Skills in both subjects, QTS or QTLS status
  • Experience of teaching GCSE in either subject.
