Zachary Daniels are looking for a Head of Operations to lead and optimise end-to-end operations across warehousing, supply chain, and logistics. The successful candidate will be an experienced operator but must have the ability to think outside the box. New site openings, improvement of processes, automation knowledge and space utilisation are all highly desirable skill sets.
As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and elevating all aspects of warehousing (3 sites) and operational performance, ensuring scalable processes, high service levels, and team engagement. Your remit will include:

Operational Leadership: Manage end-to-end warehousing and logistics operations including inventory, fulfilment, dispatch, and returns.

Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire a 280 strong operational team split over 3 shifts, building a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations align with regulatory standards and maintain a safe, compliant working environment.

Budget & Cost Management: Own operational budgeting, with responsibility for cost optimisation and productivity initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams such as supply chain, merchandising, procurement, and customer service to align ops with business goals.

Systems & Technology: Drive adoption and optimisation of warehouse management systems and new tech to support scaling.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within warehousing or logistics - ideally in retail or e-commerce setting.
- Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building, developing, and engaging high-performing teams.
- Excellent understanding of operational KPIs, stock and inventory control, and WMS/tech systems.
- Experience driving process change, cost efficiencies, and service improvements in fast-moving environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
