With a growing presence in the UK market, Dusk is expanding its operations and seeking a dynamic individual to lead its warehousing functions in Doncaster.

Description

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily warehousing activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and dispatch.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to optimise warehouse operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all warehousing activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and implement effective stock control measures.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the warehousing budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and distribution teams to align warehousing activities with business objectives.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage warehouse management systems and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Profile

A successful Head of Warehousing should have:

  • A degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior warehousing or logistics role, preferably within the online retail sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of warehousing and distribution processes.
