Our client is a global leader in manufacturing. Their manufacturing facility is currently experiencing sustained expansion and business growth, and to remain at the forefront of a highly competitive marketplace, an immediate opportunity has arisen for a proven multi-skilled maintenance professional to work in a factory production maintenance support role

Key Responsibilities – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • It's a proactive, technical electrical or mechanical maintenance improvement role - it might make a good change from your typical firefighting role?
  • Ideally multi-skilled mechanical bias
  • You will help deliver and develop the asset maintenance strategy
  • Responsible for a combination of planned/reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum process efficiency
  • Accountability to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance services
  • Monitor plant efficiency, reliability and capability of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement projects
  • Use the maintenance system to ensure agreed maintenance/ improvement work is completed.
  • Recommend and implement electrical changes to machine operation and procedures
  • Recommend and deliver improvements to process and machinery

Qualifications & Requirements – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Capable of leading from the front within a team ensuring the efficient running of a continuous process
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and ensure a balance of time is spent on improvement as well as firefighting
  • Able to ensure maintenance works planned to minimise impact on production operations and have no impact on customer service
  • Apprentice trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with equivalent in HNC/NVQ Level 3 minimum qualifications having gained experience in a fast paced manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Ideally you will have gained experience from within manufacturing or a fast moving manufacturing environment such as automotive. However, qualified engineers will be considered as full support and training is given
