Job Title: Site Engineering Manager

Salary: Upto £60,000 per annum + 10% performance bonus

Location: Doncaster, DN8 5

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Flexibility required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of plant, equipment, site services and infrastructure
  • Development and implementation of capital projects o Preparation of capital/strategic plans
  • Preparation of CAPEX justifications.
  • Development of project scope, specification and costs
  • Development of project plans – duration, critical path, cost phasing
  • Appointment and control of contractors
  • Tracking and control of all capital project expenditure
  • To ensure that all plant, equipment, and activities at site are completed in a safe manner.
  • Fully comply with all EH&S legislation and company procedure.
  • Responsible for engineering safety systems – Risk Assessments, Safety Audits, COSHH
  • Management of Permit to Work system and control of contractors.
  • Management of statutory inspections.
  • MCERTS compliance for effluent flow monitoring equipment.
  • Managing compliance to the environmental permit and ISO 14001 relevant to Engineering
  • Prepare, manage, and control engineering revenue budget.
  • Purchasing of maintenance spares, equipment and services.
  • Drive maintenance and engineering cost reduction.
  • Management of site’s ppm maintenance systems to ensure that plant performances are maximised.
  • Key contributor to maintaining and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  • Champion continuous improvement of sites’ processes’ performance
  • Recruitment, training and development of engineering staff
  • Co-ordination of Engineering team
  • Ensuring department staff have appropriate training, skills and knowledge to minimize negative impacts on the environment through competent materials handling, emergency response and permit compliance.

Health, Safety and Enviromental Compliance:

  • Participation and accountability of all Health and Safety initiatives appropriate to the Engineering
  • Legislative and in accordance with Company’s Health and Safety Policy
  • Codes of Practice and local rules.
  • Site Emergency Procedure responsibilities
  • Participate in Health and Safety meetings, implement any appropriate actions.
  • Participation in management review, O & T, operational control and policy.
  • Manage function waste materials.
  • Manage function emergency procedure requirements.
  • Promote customer focus throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outputs.

General Responsibilities:

  • Undertake other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company Employment Policies
  • Take reasonable care of health and safety of self, other people and resources.
  • Comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice and local rules.
  • Co-operate with line manager or any other person with specific responsibility for health and safety.
  • Enable the Company’s responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act to be performed.
