With a robust presence in both UK and global markets, they are renowned for producing high-quality mechanical and electrical products and components that meet the diverse needs of their clients.
The Role
As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the overall performance of the business, encompassing manufacturing operations, finance, and sales. This pivotal role will require strong leadership and a strategic mindset to ensure sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the site’s end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Managing the P&L, driving profitability, and maintaining close relationships with key clients.
- Driving cultural and operational improvements through employee engagement, change management, and lean initiatives.
- Developing and implementing strategies to optimise the site's performance and deliver continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align the company’s vision with operational capabilities.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with extensive experience in manufacturing and a strong commercial acumen. You will bring a results-driven approach and the ability to inspire teams while maintaining a clear focus on operational and strategic goals.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Recent experience as an Operations Director, General Manager, or Managing Director within a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in manufacturing mechanical and electrical products or components.
- A strong track record of managing a P&L and fostering relationships with clients.
- Hands-on experience in driving change management and implementing lean methodologies.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or manufacturing-related subject is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to engage and empower the workforce.
