£37,338 - £44,962 per annum - Band 6

Hybrid Role - A few days onsite per month required.

Job summary

Our client is looking to recruit an Accredited Clinical Coder who is looking for progression in their career.  This is a hybrid role where you will predominantly be working from home, but will be expected to work onsite a few days each month in the Yorkshire area.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working in an NHS Acute Trust
  • Accredited Clinical Coder with an in depth knowledge in the use of the Clinical Coding Classifications, ICD-10, 5th Edition and OPCS 4.0
  • You will need extensive knowledge of National and Local Clinical Coding Standards, Rules and Conventions
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Experience in taking part in clinical coding audits.
  • Awareness of Information Governance Standards relating to clinical coding.
  • Good understanding of the relevance of clinical coding in the context of Health Resource Groups (HRG) and the NHS National Tariff Payment System
  • Ability to quickly identify and investigate inconsistencies in data
  • Competent organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to working

Essential Qualifications

  • Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subjects or equivalent level of qualification or relevant significant equivalent previous proven experience
  • Attendance at Clinical Coding Refresher course in the last 3 years.

Desirable Qualification

 

  • Approved Clinical Coding Auditor - Our client has said they are happy to help you progress to become an Approved Clinical Coding Auditor
