Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Doncaster

Salary: Competitive + Overtime Available

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 6:00am to 2:30pm | Friday - 6:00am to 1:00pm | 39-hour week

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established business specialising in projects within the Railway, Highways, and Construction sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a skilled production team, oversee efficient planning and ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire production process from start to finish.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Manage and lead a team of production supervisors and workers.
  • Schedule and coordinate production activities to maximize efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure the quality of the finished product meets customer expectations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and procure raw materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, costs, and other key metrics.
  • Innovate and improve fabrication and engineering processes, utilizing new equipment and methods while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and champion safe working practices across the business.
  • Support the professional development and training of employees.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, implementing loss prevention strategies.
  • Maintain technical competence and adapt to evolving industry standards and legislation.
  • Foster effective communication at all levels within the team.
  • Regularly monitor and review employee performance.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Engineering, Fabrication, and Contract Management, with significant exposure to people and site management, particularly within the rail environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO Management Systems and auditing procedures.
  • Strong experience in overseeing production processes, team management, and ensuring efficient operations.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Engineering & Fabrication Management qualification.
  • Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Full UK driver's license.
  • Recognized Health and Safety Qualification.
