About this Role

St Oswald's C of E Academy is a popular primary school, situated in Finningley, Doncaster. We are a happy, ambitious and inclusive school reflecting a rich Christian background. The school is an academy within the Diocese of Sheffield Academy Trust. 

We are seeking to recruit an excellent classroom practitioner with proven skills to teach in Key Stage 1. This is a great opportunity for someone with suitable skills and experience to join our dynamic team at what is a very exciting phase of our school’s continuing development. This post is suitable for Early Career Teachers or teachers with experience. 

Suitable candidates will have a good understanding of the National Curriculum. You will plan and deliver well prepared lessons, which are engaging and motivating and will be able to demonstrate an excellent track record of raising and maintaining standards.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with experience in Key Stage 1, including the delivery of RWI phonics.
  • Is an inspirational teacher for children and colleagues.
  • Will support the ethos of our Church of England setting.
  • Have a real passion for promoting a love of learning.
  • Has the ability to focus on raising pupil attainment and progress across the Key Stage
  • Will be committed to the school and will contribute to all aspects of school life.
  • Is an expert at ensuring pupils make rapid and sustained progress
  • Has excellent behavior management skills
  • Has an inclusive approach and are able to provide an accessible curriculum for all
  • Is driven and take pride in all that they do
  • Has ability to engage and enthuse pupils having a creative way to approaching lessons within a primary setting
