GSL Education are seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a dynamic school in Doncasterto make a difference and foster a love for learning. This role is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who have completed their training placements and are ready to begin their teaching journey.

About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students. You will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor (CS):

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in their learning and aid as needed.
  • Monitor and record students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

Requirements of Cover Supervisor (CS):

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicable for secondary schools.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young adults.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
