We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher for a maternity cover role in a 'Good’ Ofsted-rated, two-form entry school located in DN4. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to take on full class responsibilities in a supportive and vibrant educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of all students in a KS2 class.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing reports and communicating results to parents and school management as required.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the curriculum and create a cohesive educational experience.
- Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school’s community and ethos.
- Manage classroom resources and maintain an organised and welcoming learning space.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in KS2 or a similar educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and current educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
