Special Needs Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Teacher to work with a child who has complex additional needs and an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). This role requires a compassionate individual with robust behavioural management skills and a proven track record in supporting students with additional needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work one-on-one with a child with complex additional needs in the afternoons.
  • Develop and implement individualised educational plans that cater specifically to the child's requirements.
  • Differentiate planning and resources to meet the child's unique learning needs.
  • Employ effective behaviour management techniques to foster a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other educational professionals, parents, and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to the child's education and well-being.
  • Monitor and report on the child's progress, adapting strategies as needed to optimise learning outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in supporting students with additional needs, particularly those with complex requirements.
  • Excellent behavioural management skills.
  • Ability to create and adapt educational materials and resources to meet the needs of the child.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a team and engage with children.
