Weldricks Pharmacy is looking for a forward-thinking, motivated pharmacist to join our team of pharmacists at our Distance Selling Pharmacy in Doncaster.

As an integral part of our DSP Pharmacist team, you will be central to the delivery of over 70,000 items a month, including over 2000 MDS patients, all through robotic dispensing technology.

Role Overview

Working alongside two other dedicated pharmacists, you will be supported by the Hub Manager, four team leaders, nine accuracy-checking colleagues, and over forty qualified dispensing colleagues.

Your time will be focused on delivering NHS services to patients (including DMS, NMS, Pharmacy First and Contraceptive service), clinically validating prescriptions (NHS, private and veterinarian), and supporting the admin team to answer patient and professional queries.

The right candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to cover pharmacist annual leave.



Working Hours

This is a part-time, permanent position, working on average 25 hours per week - 24 hours over three days and 1 in 4 Saturdays (4 hours). There is the option to work full time, with additional days on relief as pharmacist cover in our branch network.

Working days will vary from Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays.



Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Pharmacist, the distance selling pharmacist will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the highest standards of customer service for our pharmacies, patients and online customers.
  • Displaying high work standards and delivering these throughout the branch, keeping to all regulatory and legal requirements and following company processes and procedures.
  • Delivering the growth required in the business across Leedale HDP and MDS.
  • Liaising with the Hub Manager to organise, delegate, and monitor staff performance and with the Hub Manager and Head of Automation to meet agreed targets.
  • Delivering all professional services to maximise income through Leedale, including DMS, NMS, PQS, Pharmacy First, Contraceptive Service, and other private and NHS services. Working with the Webshop team to support their financial targets by providing necessary Pharmacy input in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing the professional aspects of staff inductions, ensuring all colleagues complete training within the deadline, and managing underperformance.
