We are seeking a qualified Intervention Teacher to work 1:1 and in small groups with Year 6 students, focusing on delivering interventions in preparation for their transition to Key Stage 3. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in supporting upper KS2 students and delivering targeted educational interventions.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions to Year 6 students to support their academic and social transition to Key Stage 3.
- Assess individual learning needs and adapt interventions to meet these needs effectively.
- Monitor and record progress of students, providing feedback to students, parents, and educational staff.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate intervention strategies.
- Utilise a variety of teaching resources and techniques to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Ensure a supportive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in supporting upper KS2 students and delivering effective interventions.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges associated with the transition from KS2 to KS3.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Competitive daily rate of £140 - £160.
- Full-time equivalent PPA time will be offered to support planning and preparation.
