Year 5 Teacher (Part-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in central Doncaster. This role is part of a multi-academy trust known for its supportive and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities:
- Teaching Year 5 Students: Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of Year 5 students, ensuring they are well-prepared for their transition into Year 6.
- Planning and Marking: Undertake pro-rata'd planning and marking responsibilities, ensuring that all work is assessed promptly and feedback is constructive.
- PPA Time: Utilize allocated Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time effectively to plan lessons, prepare resources, and assess student progress.
- Student Support: Provide additional support to students who may need extra help, ensuring all students can achieve their best.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, sharing best practices and resources.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Requirements:
- KS2 Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching Key Stage 2, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- DBS Check: Must have a current DBS check on the update service.
- Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and to respond to the dynamic environment of the school.
- Team Player: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
