About the Role:Reed Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher for a long-term supply role starting after Easter. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team, making a significant impact on the educational journey of Year 6 students.

Our client is a 2-form-entry primary school with a member of support staff based in every classroom to support the teacher. Ofsted say school is Good, and they are not due an inspection. This role is to cover a period of extended absence, due to run from after Easter to the summer holidays.

Given the timing, you will play a crucial role in supporting the final few weeks of assessment preparation towards the students end of year SATs, therefore experience in this regard is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student development.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
