We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team for a 4-week placement. This role is ideal for someone passionate about contributing to the development of young children during their formative years and who is looking for a short-term opportunity to make a positive impact.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in delivering engaging educational activities for early years children, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and setting up activities for the day.
- Help to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work closely with children on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to support their learning and development.
- Observe children’s progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the classroom teacher.
- Assist with the supervision of children during playtimes and other non-structured times.
- Help to foster independence and self-confidence in children.
- Engage in positive communication with children, staff, and parents.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a childcare setting.
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and creative approach to working with young children.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Competitive daily rate of £85.
