FLT Driver

Venatu Recrutment are proud to annouce a leading client of ours with the high-end, steelwork fabrication indstry is now looking for a FLT Driver to join them at their HQ in Doncaster. The client is a leading provider of high-quality steelwork fabrication solutions, committed to delivering excellence in every project are well known for projects in the Railway, Highways and Construction Industry, working alongside various Tier 1 Contractors. Due to their conisitent grwoth and expansion, they're now looking for a FLT Driver to assist them in the busy workhop.

This is a full-time role paying £13.29 ph / £27k per year with only 39 hours per week Monday to Friday! Working hours being 6AM-2:30PM Monday to Thursday & 6AM - 1PM Friday!

Job Duties include:

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to transport, load, and unload steel materials and products within the warehouse or construction site.
• Material Handling: Assist in the movement and organization of steelwork materials, ensuring they are stored in the designated areas.
• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks with steel products while adhering to proper handling and safety procedures.
• Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of inventory levels, report shortages or damages, and assist in periodic stock checks.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• General Labour: Perform various manual labor tasks as required, including but not limited to cleaning, sweeping, and assisting in construction projects.hearing

The type of candidates they're looking for:

• Valid Forklift License: Valid forklift certification and demonstrated proficiency in operating forklifts, preferably in a steelwork or construction setting.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
• Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within the steelwork or construction industry is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
