Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently working with a leading solutions provider in the appointment of an Interim SAP Project Manager. This is a critical role, for our client within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is expected to last 6-12 months.

The Interim SAP Project Manager will lead the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and work in close partnership with a 3rd party consultancy to achieve successful end-to-end integration across key business functions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate all aspects of SAP implementation, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables while maintaining alignment with the business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the 3rd party consultancy team, senior management, and cross-functional team leaders. Facilitate regular communication to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • End-to-End Process Support: Oversee the integration of SAP functionalities across business areas, focusing on optimising sales orders, supply chain, Bill of Materials (BOM), manufacturing, and dispatch processes. Provide guidance on best practices to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Design and implement training sessions for commercial and operational teams, ensuring they are equipped to utilise SAP effectively. Facilitate workshops and create documentation to support ongoing user adoption and proficiency.
  • Operational and Commercial Impact: Assess and communicate the operational and commercial benefits of SAP implementation to relevant stakeholders. Identify areas of improvement and provide insights on how SAP will enhance business performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues during and post-implementation. Coordinate with the SAP consultancy team to resolve issues promptly and minimise business disruption.

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are keen to speak with people that meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in SAP project management, with a proven track record of successful SAP implementation within fast paced manufacturing or supply chain environments. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience managing large-scale SAP projects. PMP, Prince2, or other project management certifications are an advantage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience working with consultancy partners is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of SAP modules related to supply chain, manufacturing, sales order processing, and dispatch. Ability to design and implement process improvements based on SAP functionalities.
  • Training and Change Management: Experience developing and conducting training for users across commercial and operational teams. Skilled in creating documentation, user guides, and process workflows to support SAP integration and user adoption.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to anticipate issues, troubleshoot effectively, and propose solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Academics: Educated to Degree level with relevant certifications in SAP or project management methodologies.
