Description
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
- Manage and evaluate supplier performance and compliance.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- To have a focus on HR, FM, Health & Safety and Mobile Plant categories.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operational procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the Procurement department.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
- Relevant educational qualifications in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
- Proficiency in supply chain software programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
