Position: Quantity Surveyor - Housing

Salary: >55k

Role: Full time, permanent position

Essential Site Solutions are working with a leading contractor, who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their established team.

Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Responsible for the financial cost control and reporting of one or more developments from start to finish
  • Responsible for sub-contract final accounts,
  • Recovery/ discharge of all retentions and completion of archive material.
  • Ensure effective cash management and careful administration of subcontractor accounts,
  • Being aware of the need to cultivate longstanding relationships and promote dispute avoidance.
  • You will be responsible for swiftly identifying any commercial threats to projects,
  • Hold a degree level in quantity surveying,
  • Client-driven, with strong decision making and communication skills
  • Be able to prioritise work against tight deadlines and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite,
  • Significant knowledge of measurement and valuation in addition to final accounts and sub-contract orders and buying.
  • Must have strong commercial skills to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management, you will be adept in preparing and understanding financial reports
