Essential Site Solutions are working with a leading contractor, who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their established team.

Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:

Responsible for the financial cost control and reporting of one or more developments from start to finish
Responsible for sub-contract final accounts,
Recovery/ discharge of all retentions and completion of archive material.
Ensure effective cash management and careful administration of subcontractor accounts,
Being aware of the need to cultivate longstanding relationships and promote dispute avoidance.
You will be responsible for swiftly identifying any commercial threats to projects,
Hold a degree level in quantity surveying,
Client-driven, with strong decision making and communication skills
Be able to prioritise work against tight deadlines and sometimes conflicting priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite,
Significant knowledge of measurement and valuation in addition to final accounts and sub-contract orders and buying.
Must have strong commercial skills to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management, you will be adept in preparing and understanding financial reports
