Due to the awarding of new frameworks and new work won, our client, a leading Railway Construction company is seeking to employ a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based from either their South Yorkshire or Manchester offices.

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make the move into a Senior Quantity Surveyors position, or an established Senior Quantity Surveyor that has previous experience of working within the rail industry (or of having worked on civil engineering and related works). The clients specialist team undertakes work on high quality track construction throughout the UK including numerous tram schemes and heavy rail schemes.

To be considered for this role you must have:



Extensive experience in the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor within a rail contracting environment.
Must have Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
Ideally working towards chartered Surveyor or equivalent membership.
You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of managing fluctuating workloads.
Experience of meeting tight deadlines and working off your own initiative.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Computer literate and working knowledge in Microsoft office applications.
Previous experience of COINs would be advantageous.
