Our client, an automotive aftermarket leader, is looking for an Experienced Product Development/Purchasing Professional to join their team. With a broad product range exceeding a strong network of distributors across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, they are experiencing significant growth and need someone like you to help drive their product and purchasing strategy forward.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing supplier relationships – negotiating pricing, terms, and product availability.
  • Assisting in product development – identifying opportunities and working with suppliers on new product introductions.
  • Monitoring and analysing parts demand – using an in-house system to ensure the right stock levels are maintained.
  • Overseeing product marketing and presentation to support sales growth.
  • Visiting suppliers and attending industry exhibitions to stay ahead of market trends.

What do you need?

  • Experience in automotive aftermarket (ideally in product, purchasing, or sales).
  • Strong negotiation skills – confident dealing with suppliers both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Good organisational skills – able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, etc.).
