Back to searchOur client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their fast-paced finance team, on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be supporting the day-to-day running of purchase ledger, with practical construction led accounts and financing.

THE ROLE:
Daily receipt of purchase invoices for four divisions, logging and matching with delivery notes and orders, distributing for appropriate authorisation.
Processing employee weekly timesheets/wages and associated queries.
Handling queries with suppliers regarding payment and non-payment for goods.
Inputting invoices on to Evolution and coding to the relevant nominal and contracts.
Preparation of Purchase Ledger monthly payments due, checking statements and
preparing payment as instructed by Finance Manager via banking system. Communication with site managers, project managers and other members of staff where appropriate.
Maintenance of the filing system.
General Administrative and Ad Hoc duties as required and defined by the Finance
Manager and/or Directors.
THE CANDIDATE:
10 years + previous experience in an accounts or finance role (experience in the Construction sector would be advantageous).
Meets deadlines and works well under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability and motivation to prioritise workload to meet demand.
IT Literate and able to competently navigate Microsoft Office Applications.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent customer service to continuously promote the client's brand and reputation.
