We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join our dedicated team, working with children who have SEMH and behavioural needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing high-level support to children with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, PDA, and ADHD.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide tailored support to children with SEMH and behavioural needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Implement personalised learning plans and engage students through interactive and adaptive teaching methods.
- Work closely with other educational professionals to monitor and report on the children’s progress.
- Assist with the development of social skills and positive behaviour management.
- Facilitate small group and one-to-one sessions that cater to individual learning needs and abilities.
- Support the classroom teacher with daily activities and create a supportive learning environment.
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support Worker, specifically supporting children with ASD, PMLD, PDA, and ADHD.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEMH and behavioural needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to create an inclusive educational atmosphere.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Competitive daily rate of £85 - £90.
