We have got a rewarding opportunity for a caring, experienced, and reliable Complex Care Worker to support a young lady with epilepsy, dystonic spasms, gastrostomy (PEG), scoliosis, and visual impairment (registered blind) based in the Armthorpe area. The role involves providing compassionate care to meet her medical, physical, and emotional needs, while enabling her to enjoy a fulfilling and enriching life.

Key Responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to provide holistic, one-on-one support to a young girl with multiple care needs. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing complex medical equipment, responding to seizures, and promoting a positive, stimulating environment for the child.

Epilepsy Management:
- Monitor and respond to seizures, following protocols to ensure safety and well-being.
- Administer emergency medications as required.

Dystonic Spasm Support:
- Provide comfort during dystonic episodes, using techniques to minimize pain and discomfort.

Gastrostomy (PEG) Care:
- Administer nutrition, hydration, and medications via gastrostomy tube.
- Perform routine care of the site and equipment.

Personal Care:
- Assist with hygiene, dressing, and toileting needs while maintaining dignity and comfort.

Mobility Support:
- Help with positioning to support her scoliosis and prevent discomfort or pressure sores.
- Assist with transfers and the use of specialist equipment, such as hoists or wheelchairs.

Sensory and Emotional Support:
- Engage with the child through sensory play and activities tailored to her visual impairment and preferences.
- Provide reassurance and companionship, fostering a nurturing and positive relationship.

Transportation and Activities:
- Drive the child to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and recreational outings using her adapted vehicle.
- Ensure outings are safe, enjoyable, and enriching.
