Doncaster Council is expanding its residential services for children and young people, and we are seeking Residential Child Care Officers to join our new and existing children's homes, which include homes rated "Good" and "Outstanding" by Ofsted.
Our homes are supported by experienced management teams and offer extensive training, regular supervision, and a nurturing, therapeutic environment for both children and staff.

What We're Looking For

Role Responsibilities
In this role, you'll work under the guidance of senior staff to provide a caring, supportive environment that meets the emotional, social, and physical needs of children. You'll build meaningful relationships with children who may have complex needs, providing them with stability, support, and a positive "good parent" role model.
Key Duties Include:
- Working shifts, including morning (7am-3pm) and afternoon (2pm-10pm) shifts, with sleep-in duties as needed
- Advocating for children's needs within the home's guidelines and ethos
- Completing required training, including the QCF Level 3 qualification (if not already achieved) and the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) program
- Following a typical 4-week rota with 2 weekends off, 9 days off per month, and flexibility for additional shifts as needed
