Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Doncaster
About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be providing care and support to children and young people in a safe, compassionate environment. You will help them to develop emotionally, socially, and practically, guiding them through daily activities and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to children and young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Support young people in daily activities, including education, social skills development, and independent living.
- Be a positive role model and advocate for the young people in your care.
- Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and therapists, to ensure holistic support.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children and young people (ideally in a residential setting).
- Relevant qualifications (such as NVQ in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or equivalent).
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary and benefits package:
- Basic wage includes an all-inclusive allowance of 8.5%, bringing the salary to 29,576 - 32,501 (equivalent to 15.33 - 16.85 per hour).
- 41.78 per sleep-in shift (on average 4 shifts per month, totalling 167.12, approximately 2,000 annually).
- Rota includes 2 weekends off out of 4.
- Overtime over 37 hours paid at time and a quarter
