We have the pleasure of supporting Doncaster council in their new role within Youth Engagement Youth Worker.Youth club Sessions Mon to Fri 16:00 – 20:30 Hourly rate is £14.13 and is initially 3 – 6 months on a temp basis. Bentley and Denaby Main area of DoncasterAssist in the delivery of youth sessions and activities for children and young people in the allocated areas (Must be able to travel to both locations) This will also be supporting Send young people. Job Role!Helping to build positive relationships, increasing youth engagement, offering guidance, and connecting young people with relevant resources and support services. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage young people from diverse backgrounds.

Duties and Responsibilities Core responsibilities and duties will include: To lead and support in the delivery of sessions and activities to children and young people to aid their personal and social education through a flexible working pattern, that will include evenings & possible weekends.To build and maintain positive relationships with children and young people.To actively encourage, support and enable children and young people including under-represented groups to have a voice and to actively participate in the decision-making processes. (eg through consultations)To monitor and evaluate engagement work with children and young people.To complete administrative tasks as required to support youth activities (eg planning of sessions, attendance registers, risk assessments, publicity). What we need!Education/Training Good general level of education qualified to minimum level 3 in a role related subject (e.g. youth work ) Safeguarding level 3 certificate First Aid trained Experience of working face to face with children and young people delivering youth sessions or a similar such as education, residential or similarExperience in delivering session to children with special education needs and disabilities or in familiar settingsAbility to build relationships with children and young people Able to work well as part of a team and a willingness to develop your understanding of the effectiveness of team working To have an awareness of safeguarding and child protection issues and how to report concernsUnderstanding of confidentiality across the organisation The ability to maintain professional boundaries at all times Experienced in planning activities for children and young people Carrying out session evaluations. Specialist Knowledge Aware of child protection and safeguarding procedures Additional Requirements
