We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Adults safeguarding team in South Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting individuals and families to improve their lives and wellbeing, using a person-centred and strength-based approach. Day to Day of the role:

  • Initially conducting section 42 enquiries and eventually transitioning into locality teams to engage in more generic work.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risks for adults in the community.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care and support plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance on local services and resources.
  • Work closely with various agencies to ensure coordinated and holistic support.
  • Safeguard the rights and wellbeing of adults at risk, reporting any concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and interventions with service users.
  • Engage in regular professional development, including supervision, training, and team meetings.
  • Uphold the professional standards and ethical principles of social work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relevant social work legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to person-centred and strength-based practices.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in various work situations.
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously develop professional skills.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in adult social work.
  • CQSW / DIPSW / Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Must be a driver with own car.
