Social Worker - Older People's Mental Health

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Older People’s Mental Health team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals to improve their lives and wellbeing. You will be part of a creative and experienced team that values person-centred and strength-based practice.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Conduct assessments of clients’ mental health needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education.
  • Collaborate with professionals across health, social care, housing, employment, and other sectors to coordinate and integrate services for clients.
  • Safeguard the rights and welfare of clients and their families, with a focus on those at risk of harm or discrimination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions using relevant systems and tools.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and team meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of services.
  • Adhere to professional standards, codes of practice, and ethical principles of social work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to person-centred and strength-based practice.
  • Flexible and adaptable work approach.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in adult social work within a statutory, voluntary, or independent sector organisation.
  • CQSW / DIPSW / Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Must be a driver with own car.
