As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering social work services to individuals with mental health needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our clients receive the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, risks, and strengths, developing individualized care plans to address their unique situations.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely interventions and ongoing support throughout their treatment journey.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, psychiatrists, nurses, and other professionals to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during crises, working to stabilize clients and connect them with appropriate services.
  • Safeguarding: Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults and children.
  • Advocacy and Support: Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the mental health system, empowering them to make informed choices about their care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, assessments, and care plans in line with professional standards and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Registration: Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in mental health, preferably within a social work or multidisciplinary team.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of mental health issues and the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.
    • Excellent assessment, planning, and case management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Enhanced DBS check.
    • Full clean driving license (if applicable).
