We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Autism Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our inclusive school community in Doncaster. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with autism and other special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide specialised support to pupils with autism, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning activities.
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and document pupil progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure effective support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of pupils with SEN.
