I am seeking Learning Support Assistants to work with me in supporting a multi-academy trust school that I am working very closely with. This role is crucial in supporting a diverse group of students, including those with SEND/SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in either KS1 or KS2 and be comfortable with both classroom support and one-to-one responsibilities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide support to students in a classroom setting, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support to students with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor the progress of students and identify additional needs.
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a school environment is vital.
  • Familiarity with KS1 or KS2 curriculum and classroom dynamics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • No formal qualifications necessary, but a passion for education and student development is essential.
