Type- Temporary, 1 day per week (flexible)

Reed Education are currently working alongside a lovely primary school based in DN9 to support their recruitment for a SENCO to work at the school one day per week. 

The day is flexible but needs to be the same each week. Hours are 08:00 - 16:00.

Your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy
  • Supporting the identification of children with special educational needs, coordinating provision and liaising with parents
  • Liaising with other providers, outside agencies, educational psychologists, and external agencies
  • Ensuring that the school keeps the records of all pupils with SEN up to date
  • Advising fellow teachers on SEN best practices and strategies
  • Referring students for specialised assessments when needed

Requirements:

  • SENCO qualification
  • Experience of working as a SENCO
  • DBS certificate
