Speech and Language therapist

Veritas are currently working with one of our partner schools in Doncaster, to help them find a Speech and language therapist, where you well assess, plan and delivery therapy for students with communication barriers and language needs.

The role:

  • Help assess the pupils in the class to identify the pupil's speech language and communication needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored plans in collaboration with the SEN staff.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students to help improve their communication skills
  • Monitor and report and pupils progress, adjusting your plans and therapy to meet the students needs.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCO and other teaching staff to ensure all the pupils needs are met seamlessly.
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training techniques they can use at home.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified in speech and language therapy.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and experience working with children in an educational environment.
  • Flexible and committed to a student's wellbeing,
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in Makaton.

  • Experience working with children with complex needs.
