Then look no further….Procurement Advisor (EfW)Salary - Circa £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)Hours - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pmLocation Postcode - DN4 5NUAs a Procurement Advisor (Energy from Waste), you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Procurement Advisor in the development and implementation of procurement policy and procedures and to provide procurement advice across the business, ensuring the health and safety of staff, approved suppliers / contractors, the minimisation of impact to the environment and achieving expectations in terms of service and quality.This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).Our promise to you- Competitive salary- 25 days’ annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On the job training and progression- Recognition scheme- Refer a friend- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership, holiday purchase and many more.- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform.What will you be doing?- Manage the procurement of a variety of commodities, services and projects, including management of the supplier base and appropriate contracts / terms and conditions- Management of strategic procurement projects / initiatives- Provide support, advice and training to business managers in respect of all procurement activities- Integration, review and maintenance of group supplier base, maximising efficiency and cost-effectiveness- Work closely with the SHEQ team to ensure suppliers comply with group requirements in respect of health & safety and environmental issues- Manage supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum efficiency / benefit- Address and resolve procurement problems, challenging under-performing suppliers and taking robust action to remedy issues / prevent recurrence- Assist in the development of specifications and identification of suitable suppliers of goods and services- Review quotations and negotiate prices with key suppliersWhat are we looking for?- Ideally educated to "A" Level standard- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement and contract management- Experience of purchasing of commodities, services and capital projects- Proficient in use of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel- CIPS qualification desirableAbout UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies.
