Our client is recruiting an experienced CCTV Project Engineer / Manager / Senior Engineer (Senior Installation Engineer step up, seeking 1st hands on supervisory / management role), they are a CCTV / Alarm & Access Control specialist installation company, that is starting a fixed division to focus purely on new fixed CCTV camera systems & CCTV tower build installations (multi-camera solutions), plus CCTV servicing, for both commercial & domestic clients.

This key CCTV Project Engineer role will be leading a team of 8 CCTV Engineers, with a plan to recruit more in the next few months, to meet customers bespoke camera installation & servicing requirements, working on both small & major projects.

To begin with this is a mix of being a workshop /office / field-based role working on the tools when needed & leading the Engineering teams, but as the division develops, it will become more workshop / office-based role as the company takes on more Engineers.

This customer service focused role has the support of 2 Project Co-ordinators / Planners who schedule & book in the required work with the Engineers. This role will mentor & coach them to develop their skill set even further.

The client installs & services Hik-vision, Dauwa, Texicom & Dual com, plus they work on Intruder / CCTV JCI connected hub systems, therefore this role will require the individual to have knowledge of these.

Desired Experience Required:

  • CCTV installation & servicing experience (ideally fixed cameras & towers)
  • Man management / supervisory skills
  • IT literate with basics of networking
  • Willing to work on the tools when required
  • Senior Engineer looking for his first move into management
  • Willing to travel from time to time to client’s sites
  • CSCS Card
  • Must live in & around South Yorkshire office.
  • Used to being on call when needed (on call 1 week in 7 to start), but once up & running you will come off the on-call roster to take control of the division, working closely with the Technical Manager to drive the operation forward / expand.

This role would suit an experienced CCTV professional, who is or has been a Senior Installation Engineer, or a Senior Service Engineer or a Project Engineer, or a seasoned Installation or Service Engineer, looking to move into more of a Supervisory / Management position, but still be hands on the tools when needed whilst the division expands.
