Truck Wash Operative

The Logistics People are recruiting Truck Wash Operatives on behalf of Tech Wash.

Location: Doncaster

Hourly Rate: £12.00 per hour

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00

Job Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Perm available

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Truck Wash Operative to join our team. As a Truck Wash Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of a fleet of trucks and trailers, ensuring they are in optimal condition. You will work closely with other team members and on your own to perform efficient and high-quality truck washing, detailing, and fleet cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform truck washing and cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions, ensuring all fleet is thoroughly cleaned and maintained
• Conduct regular inspections of trucks to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or repairs and report accordingly
• Use the company's app to ensure all reporting requirements are met
• Utilise gantry washers, pressure washers, brushes, and other cleaning tools to remove dirt, grime, and debris from truck exteriors, interiors, and undercarriages
• Clean and sanitise truck cabs, including windows, mirrors, dashboards, and seating areas
• Empty and clean trailer beds, removing any waste or foreign objects
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, requesting restocking when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Follow company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to quality standards
• Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns from truck drivers or other personnel

Qualifications:

• UK driving licence required
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a truck washing or automotive cleaning environment
• Knowledge of truck washing techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents
• Ability to operate gantry washes, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and interact with truck drivers or other personnel
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
