Job description
We have a vacancy for a Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s team. This essential role ensures that the plant runs smoothly, and downtime is minimized. We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and efficient Maintenance Fitter with a strong background in heavy plant maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on heavy plant equipment.
- Ensure the smooth operation of motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
- Conduct MIG welding and fabrication tasks as required.
- Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively within a small team to achieve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, specifically in heavy plant environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding and fabricating.
- Experience with maintaining motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM - will eventually change to MON-TUE-FRI-SAT-SUN 7am To 5pm
- Additional hours as required to meet business needs.
Compensation: £15.00 to £18 per hour
