Venn Group are currently working with a Housing Provider in the South West, who are seeking a Financial Systems Accountant to assist in uploading budgets and actuals forecasts into the reporting software, ensuring the accuracy and reconciliation of data across multiple entities.

Main duties of the job:

  • Assist in the preparation of the new budget creation and upload into the reporting software
  • Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts in accordance with the timetable, supporting on the subsidiary companies; including, but not limited to the preparation of year end reporting schedules in line with external auditors’ requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of a consolidated reporting schedule to automate the group consolidation process
  • Assist in the preparation of all the FVA returns
  • Support the Project Accountant with the day-to-day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system
  • Support the Fixed asset reporting team including, but not limited to:
    • Periodic review of assets for potential obsolescence and impairment
    • Reconcile housing stock between the Hub and A4K
    • The preparation of current asset housing property fixed asset notes
  • Assist with any other external reporting task as required

Essential Skills:

  • Educated to GCSE and A-Level Standard (or equivalent), including GCSE passes in English and Maths
  • Qualified member of or studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (Desirable)
