Temporary Facilities Manager/ Warehouse Relocation - Christchurch, Dorset

9 months contract, pro rata £50,000 (contract or PAYE). Hybrid role (2/3 days)

Immediate opportunity for an experienced project manager/ site manager to be responsible for coordinating and managing the relocation project, ensuring it is executed on schedule whilst meeting all objectives.

You will manage the relocation of a light industrial business within the local area including factory items such as benches, compressors, copper winders, test equipment and high-power ovens. You should engage with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure a smooth transition of IT infrastructure, communications, security systems and utilities as well as any construction or renovation work required. You will arrange for professional movers with the necessary expertise and equipment and ensure proper packaging, labelling, and transportation arrangements to minimise the risk of damage.

The ideal candidate should have previous related experience (ideal if engineering background) and knowledge to handle the complexities of relocating a business, including managing this so that business operations can continue without significant disruption. You should also develop a detailed project plan that includes all necessary tasks, timelines, and milestones, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure a smooth transition.
