JOB – Field Service EngineerLOCATION – Dorset  TERM – PermanentSALARY - £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures specialist machinery and precision parts. They are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Dorset on a permanent basis.   The Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a Servicing role  
  • Experience working with special purpose machinery 
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment 
  • Strong experience with assembly and machine build 
  • Great communication and customer service skills 
  • Team player who is passionate about their work 
  • Flexible with working hours Monday-Friday
  • Happy to travel on a field basis across the UK 
  • Holds a full UK driving licence 
The Field Service Engineer role will involve: 
  • Travelling to customer sites across the UK to service, commission and calibrate machinery  
  • Testing and repairing equipment to be dispatched 
  • Training customers on how to use their machinery 
  • Around 10% of work at the company based and 90% servicing 
  • Developing strong relationships with customers 
  • Working in a small multi-disciplinary team
