Our client, a dynamic and growing organisation based in Dorchester, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead and oversee the Finance function. This is a critical role within the business, offering a hybrid working model and the opportunity to provide strategic insights and operational oversight. Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
  • Oversee and manage the company's Finance function, providing strategic guidance to the Board.
  • Prepare and present detailed monthly management accounts, summarising the financial position.
  • Monitor cashflow and update short- and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and maintain control accounts for the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Oversee payroll processing, VAT returns, and HMRC submissions.
  • Manage and review debtor and creditor positions and ensure timely payments.
  • Develop financial models for forecasting, variance analysis, and budgeting.
Key essentials of the Finance Manager:
  • Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified
  • Experience:
    • Strong understanding of statutory accounts, VAT, and work-in-progress accounting.
    • Familiarity with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
