Machine Tool Fitters required for an engineering & manufacturing company based in Dorcherster.
As a Machine Tool Fitter, you must have a strong background within the building and assembling of special purpose machinery. You must be able to read and understand engineering drawings & schematics. Previous experience of mechanical build, building of sub-assemblies is essential for this role.
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Machine Tool Fitter, your main role would be to manufacture special purpose machinery. You will be part of a highly skilled team of technicians that build and assembles various types of their special purpose machinery. You will be working in clean modern manufacturing facility. You will be required to build machine systems from start to finish.
Essential Requirements:
- Building & assembling special purpose machinery
- Mechanical Sub-assembly
- Precision fitting & general assembly
- Cutting metal, marking, drilling & tapping
- Ability to work to tight very tight tolerances
- Knowledge of robotics & automation will be an added advantage l
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and schematics
- Previous experience of system build
- Must be able to use various hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, allen keys, ratchet sets as well as electric power tools
